Walton Wind Instruments are offered bei Musik Kröger in Trier, Germany for many years. The focus always lied on solid craftmanship to the best possible price-/ quality ratio. But time moves on and along with it the needs of a more professionalised clientele. The Walton Professional Line was born! |
Commonalities and Differences
All Walton Wind Instruments have in common that they are build out of chosen and high-qulity materials. Thus, the trombones always have a bell made of rose brass and a slide made of german silver that longer resists corrosion. As a matter of principle, all Walton instruments are silver plated. An upgrade procedure that lasts much longer as it is a connection between metal and metal than any synthetic coatings. On the other hand especially because of the the advantages of sound compared to synthetic coatings that can be only exceeded, by a real gold plating. The sound and the design of the trumpets was created by the master Franz-Josef Kröger in Trier, in cooperation with the conductor and componist Jörg Iwer. The Walton trombone is based on the design of Master Hermann Nienaber, owner of the company Lätzsch, Bremen and will be maintained as well as all further developments are made by master Matthias Hölle from Hirrlingen near Tübingen, Germany who excels at tuning famous trombone brands such as Bach, King or Conn. |

The main differences of the instruments are on the one hand their designated use which settle in the crafty and asthetic design: Whereby the Walton Student Line instruments are adjusted on the learners needs (Easy to play, but no to easy response in the general range, clean intonation and of course - responsible mechanics), the Walton Professional Line perfectly meet the requirements of sophisticated players: Overwhelming sound spectrum, perfect projection and response, maximum freedom of creating your souund. The Professional Line Instruments are optically marked by the gold plated buttons - the trumpets are already labelled with the famous Kröger snake on the third slide. The assembly of the Professional Line is entirely made - the assembly of the Student Line is partly made in the participating ateliers in Germany. |
